My friend Alex (Flickr) and I have been experimenting with some long exposures recently using steel wool. The hardest part of getting a good shot with this method is finding an interesting location, then balancing what is left of the ambient light with the light emitted from the burning steel wool. Here are a few of the results.

I just returned from another set of product/marketing planning meetings for Fischer’s 12/13 Alpine lineup in Austria. This time we stayed at a hotel in Geinberg instead of having the meetings at the Headquarters in Ried. From there I headed over to the small town of Fuschl (home of RedBull) to meet with ZOOOM, our creative agency. Their office is incredible, inside and out, and includes a climbing wall inside! The company is full of creative people who are all passionate about the outdoors/sports. After spending most of the day in Fuschl, we moved on to Salzburg to soak up come culture before flying out of Munich the next day. Unfortunately the weather was terrible so I didn’t really get any photos there, other than a quick shot of some traditional Schnitzel at the Die Weisse brewery. Enjoy…

I was recently hired to shoot another round of the Bamboo Bottle Company‘s products due to the fact they made some mold changes to drastically improve the functionality of the bottles. After we finished up meetings and pressing some skis at the Fischer Factory in Ried, AUT, we moved on to Obertauern to test some skis. The first day there it was a snowy, windy, white out, but the second day on snow turned out to be pretty killer.
I recently got back from a work trip to Austria. Fischer’s International Headquarters is located in the small town of Ried, AUT. I was there for a 12/13 product planning meeting, then we flew some top dealers and a few select media over to see what Fischer is all about. We did some focus groups, factory tour, pressed some skis, and gave them a taste of the local culture. Enjoy…
