Columbus Day weekend came and went before I knew it, but at least we lucked out with the weather. It was unseasonably warm for the past few days, so I took advantage and got a ton of yard work done, but also managed to squeeze in some apple picking. Oakley easily consumed a dozen apples, but was oddly picky about the ones he ate, which was amusing to say the least…

It’s been a really busy couple months so i’ve been slacking pretty badly in the blog department, but I wanted to get some photos up from the past month or so…

Not sure how i missed this, but one of my photos was chosen as the “photo of the day” on Colorinc’s Blog on July 15th…kinda cool.

My friend Alex (Flickr) and I have been experimenting with some long exposures recently using steel wool. The hardest part of getting a good shot with this method is finding an interesting location, then balancing what is left of the ambient light with the light emitted from the burning steel wool. Here are a few of the results.
